This year, for Mental Health Awareness Week, the focus is on Stress and what we can do about it.
Research shows that two thirds of us will experience a mental health problem in our lifetime and that stress is a major component of this. By tackling stress we can go a long way to tackle problems such as anxiety, depression and, in some instances, self-harm and suicide.
Friday (18th May) we'll be holding a fun, free afternoon of Art, Music and Walking; promoting healthy, natural ways to stay well and you are welcome to join us :) No booking required, just turn up on the day.
1-2pm (estimated time) We'll be making Mental Health Awareness Banners
2-4pm Walking to Centenary Square to drum & raise awareness of mental health
Starting Location: Mind in Bradford, Kenburgh House, 28 Manor Row, Bradford, BD1 4QU.
In addition to this, in collaboration with our partners, we'll also be available at a number of stalls and other events this week to raise awareness of mental health and the vital services we have to offer. Click here for further details.
