Mental health recovery workers now available at GP surgeries in Bradford and Shipley

Mind in Bradford Service Director Christina Collins said the support was for anyone worried about their mental health.

"The appointments are an early intervention for anyone who knows something is wrong with their mental health but might not need GP support.

"It's like a triage system. For example, if someone is feeling depressed, they can speak to our recovery workers and work out if there are other services or groups that could help them or they might need to see a GP for medication."

To make an appointment, call your own GP reception and ask for an appointment with Mind recovery workers in Extended Access.

They are at Shipley medical centre on Wednesdays and Fridays, and The Ridge Medical Practice in BD7 on Mondays and Tuesdays, 6.30-9.30pm.
