Many thanks to our client who attended the Men's Mindfulness sessions for sharing this: I have suffered with a series of mental health issues for a long time now - anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts. I've never had a forum where I felt I could address and confront any of these issues - even with close friends, it's a difficult topic to discuss. It's always been 'easier' to bury whatever these thoughts were, only for the same issues to rear their ugly head at a later date.
As a result, it's easier to become overwhelmed with all these anxious thoughts. Mindfulness has allowed me to process the anxious thoughts and digest them one at a time. It's helped me in my personal life as well as professional. My productivity in general life has been 10 times better than it was. My general mood and overall wellbeing is much more positive and empathetic towards others. It has somehow motivated me to be a better person and member of society. All from 60 minutes on a Thursday.
I am genuinely a different person to who I was 7 weeks ago, and it might sound exaggerated and over the top; I can only recommend you experience it for yourself.
Peter has created a safe space, a trusted environment, and an amazing mindfulness experience which has helped me begin to confront all the mental health issues in my life. To say I'm cured would simply be a lie, but I have made more progress with my mental health over the last 6 weeks than I have over the last 6 years. Thanks to Peter and the mindfulness class he hosts on a Thursday night - long may it continue.
