This Christmas (Dec 2021), we want to share some amazing local organisations who are offering free Christmas lunches and a chance to socialise on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, aimed at those who may otherwise be spending the festive period alone.

Nursing homes, at Steeton, and Beanlands, in Cross Hills
- Inviting older people in the community who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day, or who are older couples in a caring situation to enjoy a free festive lunch and day of celebrations
- The homes, which are both owned by Czajka Care Group, will be serving traditional Christmas dinners from 12pm
