Mighty Minds is provided by SELFA and is part of the Youth in Mind partnership.

How can Mighty Minds support me?

Mighty Minds provides one-to-one and group support at school for children and young people experiencing difficulties with their social, emotional and mental health needs.

One-to-one support includes up to six mentoring sessions where the young person can explore their emotions and set and plan the goals they would like to achieve.

Group support is delivered through a 10-week wellbeing programme that aims to develop emotional intelligence and teaches positive coping strategies to help them manage emotions.

Who can access this service?

  • Children and young people aged 5-19 and up to 25 with additional needs
  • You must live, go to school in, or attend a GP surgery in Craven District

Feedback on Mighty Minds

Worry jars were my favourite activity because it was very fun, and I think it has really helped me at home.

Young person

My son did some work with your worker, she came into school to work with him, and it was amazing it really helped with his anxiety and I wanted to thank her.
