Supporters take a leap of faith to support Bradford District and Craven Mind

One of our favourite fundraising events, The Great Yorkshire Abseil, was held on Saturday 14 September 2024, as supporters braved the heights of the Cow and Calf Rocks in Ilkley to take on the epic challenge.

Fundraisers ziplined between the iconic boulders and embarked on a 50ft abseil to support local mental health services.

The event has raised nearly £3,000 so far for Bradford District and Craven Mind.

Lydia Ngwenya, our Fundraising and Business Development Manager, said: “We had so much fun at the Great Yorkshire Abseil at Ilkley Moor.

“A huge thank you to everyone who took part and faced their fears to support local mental health services – together we raised nearly £3,000 to be used in our community.

“Your support will make a difference!”

The event was organised with Leeds Mind as a joint fundraiser and about 30 people participated altogether.
