Helen has more than 30 years’ experience working in the charitable and local authority sector. As well as overseeing Bradford District and Craven Mind’s strategy and operations, she represents the charity at district-wide boards and forums and is currently co-chair of the Mental Health Providers Forum and the Health & Wellbeing Forum, and a member of the Mental Wellbeing Programme Board. She is driven by improving health and wellbeing for all and her passions include being outdoors, enjoying great food and being an auntie to 12 nieces and nephews.
Frankie was formerly a trustee for Bradford District and Craven Mind for many years before joining the leadership team as Deputy CEO. She brings a wealth of experience in healthcare having worked across many specialities as a registered nurse before becoming a matron. Frankie is passionate about mental health particularly suicide prevention, LGBTQ+ mental health and menopause mental health.
Steven swapped physical health for mental health when he joined Bradford District and Craven Mind in autumn 2022. Having led on commercial operations for a national sports coaching charity for over a decade, Steven returned to Bradford where he was born and educated keen to make a difference to those in need of support. Outside of work, he’s a keen football fan and season ticket holder at Bradford City.
Helen is a qualified Social Worker with over 10 years’ experience working with adults, children and young people in Bradford District and Craven, through the local authority and voluntary sector. In her role as a Service Director she enjoys supporting our Service Managers to ensure performance and quality are of the highest standard and our services effectively meet the needs of the people we support.
Heather Butcher started as a practitioner and worked her way up to Service Manager of Sanctuary, a service for people in crisis. Heather became Programme Director of Safe Spaces in 2022 leading the new partnership of crisis support in Bradford District and Craven. Heather is now Director of Adults Services at Bradford District and Craven Mind.
Before joining Bradford District and Craven Mind, Christina worked for Rethink Mental Illness and has 10 years’ project management experience working with vulnerable and at-risk children, young people and adults experiencing mental health difficulties. Her roles have been in a range of settings such as Children’s Social Care, Youth Offending Team, Prisons and Schools.
Sara is a chartered accountant and tax adviser who has previously worked for KPMG and PwC. As Finance Manager she is responsible for all aspects of finance at Bradford District and Craven Mind, including receipts of funding and donations, and payments of invoices.
Hayley joined Bradford District and Craven Mind in January 2022 with six years’ experience in Leisure, Drone, Travel and Property Marketing. This is Hayley’s first role in the Charity sector and she’ll be using her experience to make a difference to a cause close to her heart. Hayley enjoys coming up with creative campaigns to communicate life-changing messaging and outside of work likes climbing up rock faces and mountains!
Daniel joined Bradford District and Craven Mind in August 2024 after working for another Yorkshire charity as a Communications Officer. He has also worked with the communications team at a local authority and before that gained 10 years experience as a newspaper journalist.
Myriam joined Bradford District and Craven Mind in July 2024 with over ten years’ experience in working with and leading income generation teams for health charities. Myriam enjoys making a difference to people’s lives by developing and delivering income generation strategies and working as part of a team. Outside of work, Myriam can often be seen in a West End theatre in London!
Lydia has been part of the Bradford District and Craven Mind team since 2021. She takes care of all things fundraising, from bake sales in your local primary school, to ultra-marathon runners and corporate partnerships. She is inspired by the local element of Bradford District and Craven Mind and loves working with local people and businesses to see positive change in our community. In her spare time Lydia enjoys running (slowly) and reading!
Bryony has joined Bradford District and Craven Mind after four years working in adult social care. She is a qualified teacher and is passionate about education. This includes providing people with opportunities to develop and grow, especially in relation to their mental health in the workplace. Bryony is looking forward to working with local people and businesses to support their workforce and the wider community. Outside of work, Bryony is an amateur potter and enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog Bina.
Asiya is responsible for the smooth running of our city centre HQ and is often the first point of contact for enquiries. As well as administrative duties, she assists with HR and health & safety. She is also a qualified counsellor and works as one of our Recovery Workers.
