Announcing Our New Name: Bradford District and Craven Mind

We are excited to share some important news with you. Mind in Bradford will now be named Bradford District and Craven Mind.

Many of our mental health services have always been accessible to people living in the wider Bradford District and Craven and it was time for our name to reflect the area we cover.

This name change demonstrates our continued commitment to providing mental health and wellbeing support to people across the district in Bradford, Keighley, Skipton and beyond.

Helen Davey, Chief Executive for Bradford District and Craven Mind says:

We believe this name will allow people from communities outside of Bradford to know we are here for them and they can access our services.

Along with our new name, we’re also introducing a refreshed strategy focused at increasing our impact across Bradford District and Craven.

Keep your eyes on our website and socials in the coming weeks as we launch the detail of the new Strategy.

Our Vision is that “No one in Bradford District and Craven has to face a mental health issue alone”.  Our Strategy sets out how we will rise to the growing challenge of supporting our local communities with their mental health needs over the next four years, and how we will do so under the new operating name of Bradford District and Craven Mind.

During 2024-2028 we will focus on the following four key objectives:

  • Building capacity within our services for children and young people and increasing access to support available for them.
  • Strengthening our support to adults and older people with a Severe Mental Illness and those with complex needs.
  • Reducing inequalities and increasing access to support for people from our ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
  • Developing and supporting an inclusive and diverse workforce to grow our impact and reach

This change is about more than just a name—it’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to making mental health care accessible, inclusive, and responsive to all. With our new strategy, Bradford District and Craven Mind is more prepared than ever to meet the evolving needs of our community.

Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this exciting new chapter.

Together, we can ensure no-one has to face a mental health issue alone.
