This Children’s Mental Health Week, we want to raise awareness of the mental health services available for children and young people across the Bradford district.
Children’s Mental Health Week is an annual awareness week which shines a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. The week is organised by Place2Be and this year’s theme is Express Yourself.
We offer a range of services which children and young people can access to receive support and express themselves.
Our children and young people’s service, Know Your Mind, is here to support people aged between 8 and 19 (or up to 25 with additional needs such as special educational needs and disabilities) who are in the Bradford central area. The services offers a mixture of wellbeing groups and one-to-one sessions.
Anyone of any age can access Guide-Line, our free telephone helpline and live chat. Anyone aged 11 or over can book a one-to-one appointment with one of our recovery workers.
In times of mental health crisis, children and young people should call First Response on 0800 952 1181. Anyone aged 16 or may get referred to our safe space, The Sanctuary.
