Local organisations offer free dinners for those spending Christmas alone

This Christmas (Dec 2021), we want to share some amazing local organisations who are offering free Christmas lunches and a chance to socialise on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, aimed at those who may otherwise be spending the festive period alone.

Shipley Churches Together and Salvation Army, Baptist Church

  • Christmas lunch

Nursing homes, at Steeton, and Beanlands, in Cross Hills

  • Inviting older people in the community who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day, or who are older couples in a caring situation to enjoy a free festive lunch and day of celebrations
  • The homes, which are both owned by Czajka Care Group, will be serving traditional Christmas dinners from 12pm

InTouch Foundation mobile kitchen, Church Street, Keighley

  • 6.30pm-8pm
  • Hot meal and drinks
  • Central Hall – Keighley
  • Three course Christmas dinner
  • This event is aimed at individuals who would otherwise be on their own, but people who are caring for the one other person they are due to spend Christmas with are welcome
  • Transport is available within a 10-mile radius of Keighley
