Service Manager April recently spoke to BBC Radio Bradford about how to look after your mental health in lockdown.
The Government announced a national lockdown on the evening of Monday 4 January. April spoke to BBC Radio Bradford presenter Charlie Smith on the morning of Tuesday 5 January. She shared advice on how to look after your wellbeing in lockdown, with her key tips including getting creative and staying connected.
April also spoke about the Sanctuary, Guide-Line, and the other support services we offer. Her key message was that it’s okay not to be okay.
April said:
You are not alone. There are so many people across our country struggling, and there have been for the past year. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, and sometimes it is just reaching out and saying ‘I’m not okay’. At Bradford District and Craven Mind, we have people here ready to talk.
