This year’s Volunteer Appreciation Week was held Sunday 18 April to Saturday 24 April.
At Bradford District and Craven Mind we celebrated by thanking our volunteers with a card and video messages from our staff. Volunteer Coordinator Donna also held a virtual Escape Room for volunteers.
Lisa, who volunteers as a befriender, said:
Loved the escape room, what a great way to start a weekend! It was a fantastic way to meet some of the other volunteers, take part in some team-building, have a chuckle and get the cogs working – which is exactly what Bradford District and Craven Mind is all about!
We currently have active 70 volunteers. The majority are befrienders who are supporting 135 people through telephone calls each week.
CEO Helen Davey said:
I really want to say from the bottom of my heart a huge thank you for everything you do, the time that you give up, and the care and the compassion that you share with our clients. Thank you.
